Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.
We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Metering team, you’ll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, we provide efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters. Our meter readers install, maintain and manage meters to make sure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored. Want to come and be a part of it?
What will you be doing?
As our Optimisation Manager, you'll be at the heart of day-to-day operations, ensuring we get the very best from our appointments, engineers and resources. Leading our POD delivery model, you'll make real-time decisions that drive customer outcomes, operational performance and productivity.
You'll:
- Lead the operational delivery and optimisation function.
- Manage POD Managers and In-Day Optimisation teams.
- Drive daily completion and service performance targets.
- Optimise live schedules and resource deployment.
- Maximise engineer productivity and utilisation.
- Respond quickly to performance risks, demand changes and service issues.
- Reduce aborts, no-access outcomes and lost productivity.
- Partner with Capacity, Demand and Field Delivery teams to deliver KPI and customer commitments.
- Champion continuous improvement across the operation.
What you’ll bring
You'll be a confident operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can make effective decisions using data, insight and experience. You'll be passionate about developing people, driving performance and delivering great customer outcomes.
Essential:
Operational leadership experience within a field service environment.
Experience in real-time scheduling, dispatch or operational optimisation.
Strong performance management and problem-solving capability.
Ability to use data and insight to make informed decisions and manage risk.
Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
Desirable:
Experience within a smart metering operation.
Knowledge of workforce management and route optimisation systems.
Experience leading command-centre or control-room style operations.
You'll bring resilience, adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to influence stakeholders, optimise resources and deliver results in a constantly changing operational environment.
