Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.
We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.
This role is within our Electricity Transmission division. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.

What will you be doing
- Lead and supervise site teams, fostering a positive, high-performing working environment.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Promote and maintain strong Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability (SHES) practices, including inductions, toolbox talks and site inspections.
- Monitor team performance, identify training needs and support workforce development.
- Coordinate daily site activities, resources, materials and equipment to meet project requirements.
- Maintain accurate project records, progress reports and quality documentation.
- Support site management in managing workforce levels, subcontractor performance and programme delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying innovative and efficient working methods.
- Act as a key link between site operatives and management, ensuring effective communication across the project.

- SSSTS Site Supervisor qualification.
- National Grid Competent Person authorisation.
- CSCS, CPCS or ECITB Supervisor Safety Passport/Card.
- Full First Aid at Work certification.
- HSG47 qualification.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within Electricity Transmission or Distribution.
- At least 2 years' experience supervising site teams.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and communicate changes effectively.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
