What will you be doing?
- Delivering the services in line with the contract requirements and to the satisfaction of the Service Manager and their customers, focusing on quality, productivity and efficiency in delivery outcomes;
- Promote the development of MGroups safety culture (It Starts With Me) within the Area and support the wider culture development across Devon Highways, working with the H&S Advisor;
- Planning efficient use of resources to deliver the Area priorities as described in the Annual Plan e.g. Winter & Emergency Service, LACP, Safety Defects etc.
- Taking ownership of the Area commercial performance and working closely with the Commercial team to provide accurate resource sheet
inputs, and support forecasting activity;
- Ensure KPI performance is maintained at or above the required levels;
What you’ll bring
- Proven leadership skills, leading by example, setting standards, guiding and coaching, motivational and influencing skills to get the best from your teams
- Self-motivated, able to manage own workload, and set and prioritise works for others
- Good communication skills: verbal, presentations and reports;
- Strong commitment to safety, environment, quality and ethical behaviours.
- Experience in highway maintenance at a managerial level
- Detailed understanding of Health and Safety management and the requirements of CDM;
