Where will you be working
We're looking for an exceptional Contract Director to take ownership of our Yorkshire Water WSP contract, driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and industry-leading performance.
This is a high-profile leadership position where you'll be responsible for shaping the future direction of the contract, delivering commercial success, building strong client relationships, and leading high-performing teams to achieve outstanding results.
As Contract Director, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering margin, cash flow and operational targets while ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, quality, environment and wellbeing across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Setting the strategic vision, objectives and delivery plans for the Yorkshire Water WSP contract.
- Leading contract performance to achieve revenue, profitability, cash and operational targets.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key client stakeholders and supply chain partners.
- Driving contract growth and identifying new business opportunities.
- Leading contract negotiations, bids and successful mobilisation of new projects.
- Championing a world-class health, safety, environmental and wellbeing culture.
- Delivering continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Providing inspirational leadership, coaching and mentoring to develop high-performing teams.
- Ensuring contracts are appropriately resourced to meet current and future business needs.
- Driving employee engagement while promoting company values and culture across the organisation.
Experience & Skills
- Proven senior leadership experience within utilities, engineering, infrastructure or a similar contracting environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of improving profitability and operational performance.
- Experience managing key client relationships at executive level.
- Demonstrable success in driving contract growth and business development.
- Excellent leadership, coaching and people development skills.
- Strong understanding of SHEQW requirements and operational governance.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering service excellence.
- Knowledge of contracting, compliance and relevant statutory frameworks.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Utilities, Construction, Business or a related discipline (desirable).Relevant management or professional qualifications.
