Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
As our Senior Estimator you'll be part of the estimating team reporting to one of our Managing Estimators.
You'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely estimates across a mix of one-off projects, packages of work for both Infrastructure Clean and Waste Water.
Provide estimating support with bids and contracts to ensure robust pricing, risk management and governance.
Assist and advise the Senior Management Team on commercial influences and risks around any bids.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors. Producing accurate and timely estimates/cost data to ensure supplier/subcontractor terms are back to back with the client requirements.
Responsible for prioritising workload and working with the team to produce results in a timely manner to meet business needs.
Day-to-day liaison with, and influencing of, key stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
- Are you degree qualified in engineering, Quantity Surveying, cost & planning or similar?
- Do you have experience within the water industry, preferably within both water and waste water environments, but also advantageous to have other utility estimating experience?
- Do you have experience of delivering water and/or waste water projects?
- Do you have the ability and desire to identify opportunities and influence change?
- Can you react to constant workloads and delegate accordingly?
- Do you have commercial and contractual knowledge?
- Are you able to present and use planning and visual software applications and knowledge of estimating tools and techniques?
The location of the role could either be home based, office based or a combination of both dependant on the work needs and home location.
