Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.
We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.
This role will be within our Private networks- We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.

This role can be based anywhere in the UK, you'll be assigned a contractual location but you'll be working from home most of the time, with ad hoc team meetings in one of our locations.
What will you be doing?
- We are wanting you to have at least 5 years' experience in dealing with SME or larger customers in a technical, solution design or consultancy role
- You’ll come with great presentation and interpersonal skills, ability to present, leverage and influence internal stakeholders and customers
- You’ll be known as a self-starter with a clear can-do mentality, ability to work under pressure from both customers and internal stakeholders and produces solution designs that are profitable & deliverable
- You’ll come with understanding of best practice in design methodology, Telco business processes and frameworks (eTOM or ITIL) used to deliver complex solutions
- You’ll maintain working knowledge of all technologies used within customer estates, Telco's and ensure ability to clearly articulate the business benefits of solution portfolio
- You’ll hve a good understanding of concepts of High Level Design, Low Level Design and Bill of Materials and conversant with developing project costing
- Experienced in the Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software such as Visio and Autocad
What you’ll bring
- You’ll have mission-critical, Black-Start compliant, low latency network and services using SDH / PDH and MPLS / IP technology over a mix of fibre, microwave radio and 3rd party “leased line” products including Openreach EAD and OSA & latency sub-rate services including V & X data, Voice Frequency and Optical Teleprotection (IEEE C37.94)
- You’ll have IP Network including good understanding of components of a Layer 2 & Layer 3 network, design of WAN, LAN and services
- You’ll know Fibre systems including fibre characteristics, electrical utility fibre deployment, ground deploy and 3rd party fibre along with Telecoms installation in electrical substation environment
- You’ll have experience of designing DC power supply and battery systems
- You’ll know Copper xDSL products including services via BT WBMC and SHDSL over copper “pilot” cables
- Synchronisation networks (PRC, SSU, SEC, frequency, NTP and PTP)
- Satellite services – E.g. BGAN and T-SAT services
