    Where you’ll be working?
    BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions. 

    What you'll be doing?
     
    The role sits within the Critical Infrastructure Strategic Business Unit and provides SHEQ support across projects throughout the Midlands and South regions, requiring regular travel to operational sites and client locations.
     
    Ensure compliance with UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, CDM Regulations, company procedures, client requirements, and industry best practice. Support operational teams with risk assessment processes, safe systems of work, and controls for high-risk activities including confined spaces, excavations, lifting operations, working at height, and temporary works. Conduct site inspections, audits, and behavioural safety tours, providing practical guidance to managers and site teams. Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions to promote a positive safety culture and workforce engagement. Maintain accurate compliance records, contribute to performance reporting, and support client and regulatory audits. Drive delivery of SHEQ objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors, and clients, influencing safe behaviours, challenging poor practices where necessary, and acting as a visible role model for company values and SHE leadership standards.
     
     
    What you’ll bring
    • NEBOSH General or Construction certificate.
    • 45001/14001/9001 ISO Auditing Experience
    • CSCS card or equivalent industry card
    • Membership with relevant body
    • Valid UK Driving License
    • Knowledge of CDM regulations 2015 and the practical application
