Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring robust financial control and delivering accurate monthly reports to both internal and external stakeholders. You'll play a key role in monitoring project performance, identifying commercial risks and opportunities, and supporting the successful delivery of schemes.
You'll also contribute to the development of the wider commercial team by mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff, helping to build capability and share best practice across the business. Working closely with colleagues, you will provide direct input into improving and streamlining commercial processes, documentation, and reporting methods to drive efficiency and consistency.
In addition, we'll need you to support the preparation and consolidation of reporting information from multiple schemes, ensuring data is accurate, timely, and presented clearly to aid decision-making and business performance.
What you’ll bring
- Do you have excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels?
- Are you confident with cost value reporting, forecasting and change management?
- Have you got experience with Target Cost and Cost Reimbursable contracts? This is beneficial but not essential.
- Do you enjoy working with and assisting other team members to ensure the success of the business unit?
- Have you got knowledge of utilities and minor civils works? This would be advantageous
- Do you have good organisation skills? This is key when looking after more than one scheme.
- Are you confident in managing your own work and delivering to agreed standards and deadlines?
- Do you hold a valid driving licence?
