Where will you be working?
As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.
This role is in our Plant & Fleet department, our Plant & Fleet supports teams across our business with their vehicle, plant and specialist equipment needs, offering hire solutions that are commercially effective, reliable, safe and compliant.

What will you be doing?
The Fleet Solutions Supervisor will be a hands-on ‘doer’, working in all areas of administration, driver service and interaction with MGSPFS preferred suppliers. The Fleet Solutions Supervisor will be able to cover the management of the Fleet team in the absence of the Fleet Manager. The tasks include ordering and delivery of new company vehicles, defleet of company vehicles, fuel cards, congestion charging, dart crossing, management of the mileage capture system, short / medium term car hire, maximum utilisation of the company vehicle fleet, effective and accurate input / management of the fleet management and hire systems, driving licence checking and any other general needs relating to the Fleet across M Group Services family of companies.
Travel for business purposes will be required for this role to assist in facilitating mobilisations and supply chain management.
Training and guidance of the Fleet team will be a key aspect of this role.
The Fleet Solutions department has stiff financial targets to meet, and their financial performance has a key part to play in achieving these targets through the efficient management of processes / suppliers and the full utilisation of vehicles.
What you’ll bring
- Supervisory Experience: experience of successfully supervising one or more colleagues
- People Skills and Attitude: very good at talking to drivers at all levels; professional, sincere and friendly; can do attitude to drivers and colleagues at all levels in the department
- Customer Service: delivering excellent customer service by delivering what is promised, helping internal customers (the drivers) with whatever enquiry / problem that needs to be solved.
- Organisation & multi-tasking; this is a multi-faceted role with several work streams all running concurrently; excellent organisational skills and multi-tasking are a key skill
- Dedication and Determination; to follow through tasks so they are completed on time and correctly; putting in the required effort to deal with sometimes high workloads
- Systems and Word, Excel; good level of experience working on IT software systems; open minded and quick to learn new systems, comfortable with manipulating data and forming actionable insights
- Quality Control: passion to deliver good quality, correct work, individually and from the team they head up.
- Ideally 2 years plus experience in vehicle fleet administration. This experience will be as a supervisor or an ambitious experienced administrator working for a large fleet, leasing company, or vehicle hire company.
- AFP qualification/training would be advantageous.
