    Where will you be working?

    We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.  We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

    This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment. 

    This will be a Civil Engineering Apprenticeship (Level 4)

    What will you be doing?

    • To ensure that safe systems of work are in place and are being adhered to
    • To translate design information to teams so they construct the project effectively and efficiently 
    • To assist in supporting productivity for timely completion
    • To ensure the project is completed to the specification and quality of the client
    • To assist in managing the activity on site in a way that adheres to cost and contract constraints 
    • To manage interfaces between stakeholders associated with the project
    • To ensure that the project has minimal negative impact on the environment and the community 
    • To manage direct labour and subcontract teams on site to ensure the project is completed to contracted quality and to programme
    • Liaise with the planning team to ensure resources are mobilised to complete individual projects and job risks are understood and managed

    What you’ll bring

    • Valid UK/EU driving licence
    • Achieved at least five GCSEs at grade 4/ C or above including Maths, English and Science or their equivalent AND Level 3 qualification in relevant subject (Maths or Science) i.e. A Level DD, BTEC National Diploma PPP
    • Capable of working on own initiative and just as importantly supporting the wider team
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work with staff at all levels
    • Ability to learn and master client specific software
    • Exercise independent engineering judgement whilst taking responsibility for own actions
