    What will you be doing?

    • Delivering the services in line with the contract requirements and to the satisfaction of the client and their customers.
    • Provide ECI and scoping on projects for Client when requested
    • Promote the development of an It Starts With Me safety culture within the Area and support the wider culture development across the Oxfordshire Contract
    • Developing positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
    • Planning & programming resources to deliver the portfolio of works.
    • Taking ownership of the commercial performance and working closely with the Schemes Project Manager and Commercial team to produce forecasts and cost value reports.
    • Efficient and effective management of the supply chain in line with the MGH HS&E policies.
    • Regular liaison with the client on progress & performance through collaborative meeting arrangements. Delivering the services in line with the contract requirements and to the satisfaction of the Client and their customers.
    • Report to the Works Manager / Operations Manager on all aspects of the performance & programmes.
    • Represent MGH at Client meetings as required.
    • Agree, set and monitor performance objectives in terms of time, cost, safety, quality & programme.
    • Work with the commercial team in managing contractual issues with the client team, subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Provide training, development and encouragement to staff / contractor and operatives to ensure all works are resourced with sufficiently competent and motivated resources for the role expected of them.
    • Deputise for the Works Manager as required in their absence.
    • Aid the Works Manager with the development of the construction programmes and methodology utilising existing knowledge & experience and through engagement with Key Supply Chain.
    • Support the Site Agents / Works Manager with the creation and reviewing of the Construction Phase Plans, method statements and safe systems of work to ensure that these are in-place before work is started and that required safety standards are maintained at all times.
    • Manage all risks effectively on site and ensure adherence to MGH risk management processes.
    • Compliance with MGH SHEQ reporting and performance requirements.
    • Represent MGH and Client in a professional manner at all times.
    • Be customer focused and proactive in managing customer interface to prevent / eliminate complaints.
    • Review and support, trials and case studies for new innovations

    What they’ll bring

    • Possession of SMSTS
    • CSCS card Gold/Black
    • NRSWA (desirable)
    • Driving licence
    • Suitable levels of experience in supervision, project management & delivery management of highway improvement and public realm work, in particular surface treatments
    • A detailed understanding of health and safety management and the requirements of CDM.
    • A working knowledge of quality and environmental standards for highway improvement work.
    • Commercially aware with knowledge of budget and cost control processes
    • Good communication skills
    • Experience in the delivery of Surface Treatments (desirable)
