You’ll be joining our Civils projects team at Hinkley Point - We deliver specialist civil engineering for the private and public sectors across the UK, building strong relationships based on a collaborative approach.

What will you be doing?
You'll work as part of a team undertaking highways repairs, ranging from drainage, footways, patching, potholes and general highway maintenance.
You'll use technology (tablets/apps)to input safety data and maintenance records. Drive/operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for the for the day to day tasks set.
Part of the role is to take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge. Where appropriate you'll provide direction/supervision of the work to less experienced operatives.
We'll ask you to undertake winter and emergency maintenance out of hours activities on a stand by rota.
What you’ll bring
- Ability to undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weathers. A commitment to Health and Safety
- Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy
- Wheeled excavator over 10 tonnes (Essential)
- Clean driving License
- Highways experience
- CSCS Card
- LGV Class C OR capability to gain this during probation
