    Where will you be working?

    We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.  We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

    This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

    What will you be doing? 

    As our Site Engineer you will be part the delivery team and will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely engineering data to support design, construction and handover of infrastructure projects.

    You'll use your experience of major civils works, such as earth works ,setting out, shaft sinking, large diameter gravity pipe lines, rising mains, tunnelling and surveying for a new pumping station installation project on our Thames Water Capital Delivery Framework in Thames Valley.
     
    Ensure all work meets the required quality standards and complies with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. 
     
    Overseeing daily operations on sites, including the coordination of materials, setting out etc. Address and resolve any issues on site, such design changes.
     
    Complete site engineer diaries and track and document project progress, including work completed.
     
    Produce As- built drawings and sketches. Prepare and present regular reports on project status, including progress, challenges.
     
    Complete a SHE6 audit. Record Site safety observations. Ensure all mandatory training is complete and kept up to date.
     
    What you’ll bring 
    • Do you have a degree, HND, HNC or equivalent qualified in engineering?
    • Do you have the ability to operate CAD and Microsoft suite?
    • Are you able to carry out setting out requirements for pipelines, structures and no dig techniques using GPS, LEICA Robotic Total Stations and Digital Levels?
    • Have you gained experience working on a construction site with site supervision experience?
    • Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
    • SMSTS
    • Thames Water passport
    • CSCS
